“The Cimbrian War” is a historical fiction series based on real events and real people. It is set in Iron Age Europe from 120 BC – 101 BC. The Germanic tribe, the Cimbri, are faced with a cataclysmic tidal wave that nearly wipes out their civilization. They are forced from their homes and embark on an epic journey in search of a new homeland that would last for decades. They travel across raging rivers, dismal swamps, primordial forests and towering mountains as they trek thousands of miles, encountering hostile tribes and fighting for their lives. Eventually, they come into contact with the Roman republic. After being betrayed by a treacherous Roman general, the Cimbri make the Romans pay for their arrogance. It is the story of the true-life king of the Cimbri, Boiorix, from his youth until he becomes the leader of the Cimbri tribe, and parallels the life of Gaius Marius, the Roman general who will one day bring devastation to Boiorix and the Cimbri.
